Every year I am in awe of the wonder of nature. We plant a seed, it grows a plant, which flowers and grows fruit/veg. I love watching things grow, I get a warm fuzzy feeling from baby veggies as well as baby humans and critters, and experiment regularly, just to see what things look like! This year we planted a few peanuts, they do resemble the sweet pea plant, they took a long time to germinate. We found some heritage Lemon Cucumber seeds, they taste and grow like a cuc, but are lemon shaped and yellow. I can't wait to see baby them's! Another unusual heritage seed we found is the Mouse Melon, it is tiny, watermelon shaped, but is supposed to taste like a cucumber. A couple of weeks after I had planted them, we were watching a Tiny Homes special show that was showcasing tiny things, they called them cucumber watermelons. They are very cute, and such a dainty little melon plant, so far none are flowering yet, I will post pics of progress.
